There is news this morning that State Representative Deb Mell has been appointed to the position of 33rd Ward Alderman in the City of Chicago.
Deb Mell will be a great leader on the City Council and in her community for a cleaner, healthier Chicago. As a State Representative, Deb Mell has been an environmental champion, working to move Illinois beyond fossil fuels to the clean energy sources of the future. She cares deeply about the Chicago River, about the cleanliness of our neighborhoods, and providing safe transit and bikeways to reduce congestion and pollution. Chicago is taking bold steps to secure a cleaner, more prosperous future, and we look forward to working with Deb Mell in her new role to advance those goals.
