A Better, Cleaner Deal on Electricity for Chicago?

Under Mayor Emanuel’s leadership, Chicago is moving away from dirty coal as an energy source and we welcome the City of Chicago’s interest in getting a better deal on electricity. Cities and suburbs across Illinois are using their buying power to secure deep reductions in electric rates and moving to clean and renewable energy. Aggregation can be a powerful tool to create local jobs in the clean energy sources of the future and the time is right for Chicago to explore how it can bring those same benefits to its residents.
